Customs modernization appears to be of great bipartisan interest to lawmakers in the United States. Senate Finance Committee members recognize there have been substantial changes in trade since Congress passed the Trade Facilitation Enforcement Act in 2015 therefore the committee plans to work closely with U.S. Customs and Border Protection this year to improve U.S. trade laws and enforcement tools.
